entrepreneurial company we have several avenues we want to
explore. As a result we have 2 mission statements...
Information Technology
Alex Nesling Ltd
is built on the assumption that the management of
information technology for business is like legal advice,
accounting, graphic arts, and other bodies of knowledge, in
that it is not inherently a do-it-yourself prospect. Smart
business people who aren't computer hobbyists need to find
quality vendors of reliable hardware, software, service, and
support. Alex Nesling Ltd focuses on local markets, small
business and home office, with special focus on the high-end
home office and the 5-20 unit small business office. We are
especially focused on providing network systems and services
to small and medium business. The systems include both
PC-based LAN systems and minicomputer server-based systems.
We are currently seeking to expand into web site design and
web hosting.
We now offer custom distributions! We have
produced re-mastered versions of Linux for schools, training
centres, the hospitality trade (including pubs, clubs, etc),
I.T. departments, museums (kiosk display terminals), etc.

Property Development

To enable more
students/professionals to rent well-maintained, IT
equipped, secure, affordable housing.

Alex Nesling
is active in several sectors of property development;
these include retail, housing, and commercial.
Our location and
expertise allow us to quickly source local housing, renovate it to a high
standard at low cost to us, and place the property on the rental market. We can
also manage property, including sourcing tenants, checking references,
collecting rent, maintaining property, etc - but this is done by us, for us, and
is not something we offer as a service.
Our show case
commercial property, which we manage and where we have our offices located is
the
Kingston Arms Freehouse
in Cambridge.
Update (June/08): Due to current economic
environment, expanding our property
development role is unviable. However, in keeping with the
entrepreneurial spirit of Alex Nesling,
we have some other, very different, possibilities we want to
explore...
Kingston Arms 'mini' mission statement:

The creation of a
unique, innovative, upscale atmosphere that will
differentiate 'The Kingston' from other local pubs &
freehouses.

The establishment
of The Kingston Arms as a community hub for socialization
and to a lesser extent, entertainment.

The creation of an
environment that won't intimidate families, single women,
older people, etc - we want to be at the other end of the
usual larger drinking pub 'scale' found in most towns.
